Informatica Developer:
Performed business analysis and design to populate the company’s EDW with operational data and designed the Informatica mappings and sessions for this process. Designed Informatica mappings and sessions as well as UNIX shell scripts for the population of an exploratory data mart for the evaluation of business intelligence tools. Informatica Sources and Targets included flat files generated from mainframe systems, IBM Informix XPS, and IBM Informix US.

Data Warehouse Architect / Informatica Administrator:
Responsible for the migration of the existing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from Sybase IQ 11.5 to 12.4, requiring changes to the Extraction, Transformation, and Load processes. Supported the daily load and deployments for the EDW, insured data integrity, and ran ad-hoc reports using Business Objects.
As the Informatica Administrator installed and configured the Informatica PowerCenter application in support of a high visibility conversion effort with an aggressive schedule, helping the company consolidate Data Centers to reduce overhead and standardize on a single platform. Supported 25 Informatica developers involved in the conversion project and the creation of a new EDW. Managed two mission-critical Repositories located in two Data Centers with minimal downtime. Assisted developers in troubleshooting and tuning Mappings utilizing my strong UNIX and DBA skills. Published standards for development, and migrated Mappings from Development to Production. Overcame Oracle Repository problems and leveraged Informatica’s metadata to develop audit reports for Mapping and Session validity, coding standards compliance, and monitoring Repository health. Served as the liaison between developers, DBAs, and SAs. Took part in the design and creation of a new Operational Data Store on Oracle8i. Created Informatica mappings and sessions to populate the ODS from several company wide applications. Informatica Sources and Targets included Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MS SQL Server, and Flat Files. Other responsibilities included administering jobs and schedules in Maestro.

Database Administrator:

Responsible for the production and development support of Sybase SQL Server 11.x, Sybase Adaptive Server 11.5.x, and Sybase Replication Server 11.x on Sun Solaris 2.5.1 on Sun SPARC and UltraSPARC servers. Performed business problem analysis and resolution, database performance monitoring and tuning, space management, backup and recovery, and installation. Developed shell scripts for database maintenance and reporting in combination with ad-hoc SQL scripts and stored procedures. Analyzed and corrected database corruption and replication problems. Assisted with database design and implementation. Provided database and SQL support to application developers.

Database Administrator:
Responsible for supporting EXE customers’ database systems (Informix 5.x and 7.x, Oracle 7.3, MS SQL Server 6.5) that are part of EXE’s Supply Chain Execution (SCE) software solutions. Perform day-to-day production database administration, including installations and upgrades, backups and restores, performance tuning, reorganizations, and general troubleshooting. Platforms: AIX 4.2.x and 4.3.x, HP 10.20, NT 4.0. Tools: BMC’s SQL BackTrack, Oracle and SQL Enterprise Manager.
Database Administrator / Data Warehouse Architect:
Responsible for maintaining the company data repository in Sybase SQL Server (System 11, 11.5) on the HP9000/UX platform. Manage the entire process from extracting to processing and loading data into the data warehouse using stored procedures and UNIX shell scripts. Also responsible for generating reports, writing ad-hoc queries, database modifications using DDL, DML, and Transact SQL, and keeping up-to-date ER-Diagrams. Tools used: PowerDesigner, DBArtisan, RapidSQL, Sybase Central, SQL Advantage, MS Access, and ReflectionX.
Programmer Analyst:
Developed, modified, debugged, and tested application for On-board Computer (OBC) systems used to collect data and keep logs for truck drivers using MS C, Greenleaf Communications Library, and Btrieve on a DOS based system. Debugged and enhanced firmware using Borland C++. Also assisted in user requirements gathering, training, and customer support.
Programmer Analyst:
Developed, maintained and customized call processing application which was part of a Substitute Teacher Management System using Borland C under DOS, Btrieve database, VFEdit voice editing software, Dialogic’s telephony boards and Multivoice library. Worked closely with customer support and provided assistance with user training.
Technical-Mathematical Programmer:
Developed software that controls industrial machines using Turbo C and Assembler under DOS and UNIX. Also was responsible for on-site software maintenance and customization.
